Professional Standards Program

The Professional Standards Program (PSP) is a certification program for active and retired members of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP). As an EOPO member, you have the opportunity to enhance your professional competencies through academic programs, conferences, and institutes. As you participate in conferences and become active in EOPO leadership and service, you will be on your way to earning your PSP certification.

Through education, experience, and professional activity, you will meet the requirements of the NAEOP certificates. You can work toward the completion of one or more Professional Standards Program certificates. The certificates available are:

The program is designed as a series of five levels in Option 1 and nine levels in Option II. The awarding of a certificate based on education, experience, and professional activity recognizes each level of achievement in the program. The current highest-level certificate must be recertified five years from issue date or upgraded according to the guidelines provided by NAEOP.

The first requirement is being a high school graduate (or the equivalent). Then if you have received higher education from any technical school or a college, you are on your way to achieving your PSP certification. You must be a member of NAEOP to receive your certification. If you are interested in learning more about the PSP program, contact our PSP Chair, Michele Newton, for more information.
