18.00 Affiliate President Job Description

The Bylaws as adopted in June, 2002, Article XI, "Advisory Council" states:
There shall be an Advisory Council comprised of one delegate from each affiliated chapter. This delegate shall be a member of the Association and shall serve as delegate to only one affiliated chapter of which the delegate is a member.
The duties of the Advisory Council shall be to develop programs for the promotion of the Association's purpose and activities in the various localities;...
The Advisory Council shall meet annually at the time and place of the annual meeting of the Association. The Advisory Council may hold additional meetings at such times and places as determined by the Affiliations Chairman.
Further, Article XVI, "Affiliation with Educational Office Professionals of Ohio" states:
In order to become affiliated with the Association, a group of ten (10) or more qualified personnel shall adopt and file Bylaws that are in accord with the general purposes of the Association and NAEOP....
(2) The President and at least three others must be members in good standing of the Association.
In addition to the current Bylaws and to the Job Description for All Elected and Appointed Members of the Board as described in Page 1.00 of this section, the Affiliate President shall: (To clear up some of the language since the Affiliate President is not elected nor appointed by EOPO membership, we have stated some additional information in this description.)
- Be a voting member and attend all meetings of the Board of Directors.
- Serve as the delegate of the local affiliate to the Advisory Council.
- Keep the Board of Directors abreast of the happenings and events of the local association.
- Keep the local affiliate abreast of the business and purpose of EOPO and NAEOP.
- Serve as liaison between the Affiliations Chairman and the local association in evaluating how best to serve the needs of EOPO and their own organization.
- Work with Affiliation Chairman to process renewal application and annual dues along with local membership list.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the President and/or the Board of Directors.
