11.00 NAEOP State Membership Chair
Job Description

Appointed by the President
One-Year Term

The Bylaws, as adopted in June, 2002, Article VII - Duties of officers, state:

The Chairman shall be liaison officer with NAEOP for the Association; shall be responsible for promoting potential members for both EOPO and NAEOP; shall keep an up-to-date list of paid national members; shall be ready to help assist local associations and work closely the President and Membership Chairman; shall make a report at each meeting and speak at any affiliate meeting (about EOPO and NAEOP membership), when it is possible. The Chairman shall be appointed by the President.

In addition to the current Bylaws and the Job Description for all Elected and Appointed Members of the Board as described in Pages 1.00 of this section, the NAEOP State Membership Chairman shall:

  1. Should be an active NAEOP member, who has attended at least one NAEOP conference.
  2. Work closely with the President and Membership Director of EOPO.
  3. Promote NAEOP membership with EOPO members and keep EOPO members informed of and other pertinent information from NAEOP.
  4. Put NAEOP in the spotlights at conferences and meetings through the use of displays, being available to answer questions, and selling memberships.
  5. Use the material and suggestions received from NAEOP to promote the organization at meetings and in the newsletter.
  6. Assist the NAEOP Director(s) in any way possible. Perform additional duties as assigned by the President and/or the Board of Directors.
