EOPO Standing Committees
EOPO works with the strengths and experience of our members. We value our members' expertise, opinions, and willingness to commit their time to help us achieve our goals. Participating on a committee offers members a chance to meet other EOPO members and to work collaboratively to make a difference.
EOPO Standing Committees:
- Affiliations Committee
- Affiliations Committee - responsible for contacting local associations to affiliate with EOPO.
- Auditing Committee
- shall audit the financial reports of the Treasurer at the close of each fiscal year.
- Awards Committee
- shall select the final recipient(s) for the Jacqualyn S. Myers Educational Office Employee of the Year Award and the Administrator of the Year Award.
- Budget Committee
- shall prepare an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors prior to presentation to the membership for approval during the annual meeting
- Legislative and Bylaws Committee
- shall bring to the attention of the membership all matters of legislation concerning education and recommend those areas of the EOPO bylaws which need to be considered for revision to the Board of Directors for their approval prior to sending a ballot to the membership for approval
- Membership Committee
- shall be in charge of registration of members at regular meetings and be responsible for promoting membership.
- NAEOP State Membership Committee
- shall be liaison officer with NAEOP and be responsible for assisting potential NAEOP members with membership.
- Nominations and Elections Committee
- shall secure a slate of officers to present to the membership by printed ballot once approval is made by the Board of Directors
- Professional Standards Program Committee
- shall promote participation in the PSP program and have PSP applications and brochures available.
- Program Committee
- shall organize conferences and workshops in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
- Publications Committee
- shall be responsible for publishing The Buckeye Bulletin.
- Scholarship Committee
- shall distribute appropriate scholarship information to school districts within Ohio and EOPO membership and select the final scholarship recipient(s).
- Ways and Means Committee
- shall suggest ways of raising funds for the association and be responsible for sales, distribution, and publicity of items suggested.
- Sunshine Committee
- shall be responsible for sending cards, flowers, or donations to members according to guidelines approved by the Board of Directors.
As a member driven organization, the success of EOPO is dependent upon the participation of its members. Your involvement on a committee helps you meet certain requirements of the Professional Standards Program certification.
