ARTICLE VII – DUTIES OF OFFICERS

Section 1. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Association and the Board of Directors; shall call special meetings; shall, with the approval of the Board of Directors, appoint chairmen of all committees as specified in Article XII; and shall perform other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.
Section 2 The President-Elect shall assist the President and in the absence of the President shall discharge the duties of the President, shall be a member of the Board of Directors; shall serve as Historian and keep a scrapbook and a cumulative file of annual reports of all committees; and shall have additional duties as the President may delegate.
Section 3. The Vice President shall discharge the duties of the office of President in the absence of the President and President-Elect; shall be a member of the Board of Directors; and shall be Program Committee Chair.
Section 4. The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of the Association and of the Board of Directors; shall conduct the correspondence as directed by the President; shall keep a complete list of members of the Association; shall be a member of the Board of Directors; and shall perform other duties commonly assigned to such an office.
Section 5. The Treasurer shall receive and deposit all funds and shall issue receipts thereof. All payments from Association funds shall be authorized by the President at each board meeting or through a system of correspondence between the two officers. The President shall scrutinize all requests for payment and initial, indicating approval or disapproval. A signature card from the bank shall be signed by both the Treasurer and the President.  This authorizes the Treasurer and the President to both deposit receipts and sign checks for disbursement of funds. A financial report shall be presented at each meeting of the Association. The accounts of the Treasurer shall be open to the Auditing Committee at the close of each fiscal year or as requested by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall be a member of the Board of Directors; shall be Budget Committee.
Section 6. The Director of Membership shall be a member of the Board of Directors; shall be Membership Committee Chair; and shall have such additional duties as the President may delegate.
Section 7. The Director of Nominations and Elections shall be a member of the Board of Directors; shall be Nominations and Elections Committee Chair; and shall have such additional duties as the President may delegate.

ARTICLE VIII – NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS

Section 1. The Nominations and Elections Committee shall present a slate of officers comprised of two candidates, if possible, for each office to be elected.
Section 2. The President-Elect shall be automatically named President at the close of the term of the President.
Section 3. In odd numbered years a President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, and Director of Membership shall be elected. In even numbered years, a President-Elect, Treasurer, and Director of Nominations and Elections shall be elected.
Section 4. Eligible candidates for any Association office shall be nominated in writing according to the rules of the Nominations and Elections Committee. No candidate shall be nominated without the individual's consent.
