Advisory Council

The Advisory Council shall be comprised of:

• one delegate from each affiliated chapter. The delegate shall:
  • be a member of EOPO
  • serve as delegate to only one affiliated chapter of which the delegate is a member
• EOPO President shall be ex officio
• EOPO President-Elect shall be ex officio
• EOPO Board of Directors members shall serve as resource persons

Advisory Council Chair:

• shall be the Affiliations Committee Chair
• shall appoint a secretary to keep the minutes of the Advisory Council at the annual meeting
  • minutes shall be:
    • approved by the Affiliations Committee Chair
    • sent to the President and Secretary of the Association within thirty (30) days after the meeting

Duties of the Advisory Council shall be to:

• develop programs for the promotion of EOPO's purposes and activities in the various localities;
• advise the Board of Directors in matters concerning EOPO
• elect two members to the Nominations and Elections Committee
• elect one member to each of the following committees:
  • Affiliations,
  • Legislative and Bylaws,
  • Membership, and
  • Professional Standards Program
• attend the Advisory Council meetings

The Advisory Council:

• shall meet annually at the time and place of the annual meeting of EOPO
• may hold additional meetings at such times and places as determined by the Affiliations Committee Chair
